Now before you barrage me with hate messages or condemn me to whatever places you'd like, let me share with you yung mga nangyayari that made me agree to that statement above.
Well there's that issue about the RH Bill here in our country. And yung incident involving Carlos Celdran and his "DAMASO" sign. And let's not forget about the Church, trying to shove their beliefs and values on everyone. Kahit hindi ka Katoliko. Lalo na dito sa Pilipinas. Are we still in the colonial period? Or medieval times?
Di ba there's such a thing as separation of church and state? Don't get me wrong here, I do believe in a higher being out there, I'm just pissed at these groups who are trying to run countries and societies using their 'power'. Please do limit yourselves on the individuals in your group? Please?
I know this is pretty delayed reaction on the whole RH Bill but there's this other news from another country that irked me as well. Apparently, in Germany, a group of Catholics are trying to ban SANTA CLAUS. Talk about 'pakikialam'. So what if it promotes commercialism? Accept the fact na kaakibat ng Pasko ang gift-giving. And nothing's really free these days.

ReplyDeleteand all i'm saying, and what everyone else is saying, is that not everyone believes in your god. same way as you may or may not believe in my god. we're a democratic country where freedom of religion is a given. you can voice out your opinions pero in the end, it's still up to the people. hindi lahat under sa iisang religion kaya hindi lahat kelangan sundin yung sinasabi ng simbahan.
ReplyDeleteactually hindi naman pinupuna yung faith nyo eh. yung mga taong nasa group nyo na nakikialam sa mga bagay bagay na beyond na sa sakop nila. that's what this is all about. not your god, not my god, but the people involved trying to run countries.
hmmm..weird...ako muslim ako and i tried becoming a catholic kasi i find Jesus to be REAL...kaso the only thing hindering me are the same people in faith...they dont walk the talk...i read before that gandhi admired jesus for the things he has done..kaso ayaw nyang magconvert dahil kulang sa gawa ang catholics...sad but i guess even we die hard fanatics of islam have our own problems...kaya siguro ayaw din nila maging muslim...
