You sure that's not like for umm-forever?

Well there's this new hotel in Tokyo that further enhances the 'capsule' hotel concept. You know, those hotels in Japan where people sleep in capsules? Or little tiny spaces? More like boxes fitted with beds and pillows.

Like this!
Well this time, I think the difference that they made is that they made it more 'simpler'. But how can you get more simpler than stacked boxes for beds? Let's all watch and see what this new hotel offers. It's called the 9 Hours Hotel.

Do the math.

I think they somehow simplified the capsule concept via improving the services that the hotel itself offers. As you will see in the video, they've managed to generalize the necessities that a common person seeks in a hotel: a place to rest, to cleanse and to sleep, as clearly shown in the image above. Really it's that simple!

Sleeping Areas
Here watch the video:

Look at how neat and how organize that place looks like! Obviously this is achieved by using, how many colors again? FOUR? And I particularly like how the instructions are done by means of simple illustrations. And look at the facade of the hotel. Look at how small that is.

And again, the interiors. The calmness and peacefulness that it evokes. You'd surely enjoy a night relaxing and sleeping here.

Or maybe a lifetime... oh wait wrong image!
Well there you go. The 9 Hours Hotel. Is it really a great idea for the concept of overnight hotels? Will people apply it on motels (Sogo, etc.)? Is it too clean? Too serene? Too deathly? Whatever it is for you, it sure is something different.
