Movie Review: Zombadings: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington
Okay, I'm regaining hope for Philippine cinema or at least yung mga recent films na napanuod/nababalitaan ko. After the wonderful Babae sa Septic Tank last month (?) or so, here's another indie/Cinemalaya film making its way to our mainstream cinemas: Zombadings: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington.
Para sa tamad na nagbabasa ng front page lang (kung meron man), I recommend this film. Go watch and support it!

Light Duct Tapes!
I know hindi ko inabutan ang original Tron film back in the early 80's but napanood ko naman sya just to see what they were all excited about when Tron: Legacy was released last year. Well, the original turns out to be a sort-of Matrix type kind of film with all the computers and all the digital effects the 80's had to offer that time. Awesome graphics and spaceships and computer battles Blocks and pixels. So seeing this duct tape ad made me smile dahil they went for the old film's light cycle scene.
1000++ internets to the ones who conceptualized this advertisement. And a slight deduction for the awkwardness of Tron Guy and hiswife sister. What? Anong stereotyping? Judgmental? ME? Well screw you *goes to garage with a pole SCH-IIIIING! PEW PEW PEW!

Movie Review: The Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Good Lord that's one long ass movie title. Ano yan tongue twister? And writing this review took me what? Two weeks? I know I'm starting to lose focus once more but hell, I rarely watch t.v. these days and rarely go online. So now on with the movie...
When this was announced, I wasn't particularly excited with the concept. I mean, really? A movie where almost all of us knows the ending? It's practically written in the title so you know what to expect. The Rise of the Planet of the Apes. And the tagline states: Evolution becomes Revolution. Basic math na lang yan and context clues, ohhh me know math!! hooh hooh haah haah! me likey.
Was I surprised when I watched this film and found myself engaged in one of the best movies so far this year.

Movie Review: Ang Babae sa Septic Tank
Well this took a while. Sorry.
So you've lost hope in Philippine Cinema? Getting tired of the same old formulas that the mainstream studios come up with? Don't worry hindi lang ikaw ang nakaka-experience nyan, and once you watch a film as brilliantly funny and entertaining as Ang Babae sa Septic Tank, you'll realize as well: "Sa wakas may bagong klase ng pelikulang mapapanuod ang nakakaraming Pilipino."

So today while doing stuff...
I suddenly missed certain types of songs or music that I really liked back in highschool. Or was it elementary pa? Not sure. Let's just say that it brought back memories, and you know, I started thinking: "What the hell happened with these kinds of sounds?"
Well it kinda disappeared. I mean locally, here in the Philippines. Na-dominate na tayo ng pop songs, emo bands, pogi rock, Sarah Geronimo and the likes.
So what kind of music am I talking about? Plug your ears, bring your rosaries (you know what they say about it), and keep your moms away from the computer. Read on.

Well, before the other trending stuff...
Seriously, I wanna write something about the current events. There are lots of stuff happening out there. Buuuut. As usual, I'll post something fairly interesting first. And something very educational.
Yes. Some guys finally made an infographic that shows how massive the porn industry is.

We're back! And guess what?
I've been away for like a week or two. Sorry bout that. But guess what?! It's FREAKING OCTOBER! or Oktober. Depende sa type mo. But still, every male human being (even females!) in our planet knows what this particular month means. It's a time for saying graces, meditation, relaxation, and praying to our beloved Saint...

Talk about free time. and creativity.
Well, just a few days ago, I posted something about Mario's 25th birthday and another involving a live-action Pacman video. Continuing from that trend, I came across this pretty old video na talaga namang panalo (WIN!).
Now I know I have some spare time with this blog and stuff but I don't have this amount of free time. How long did that take? Still, I applaud the people who did this for the fun and dose of nostalgia that the video gave me. Clap clap!
This video is about Mario running around a campus or some kind of facility. The level design is simple but still very good. I mean the environment is cleverly incorporated in the design. Now just watch...

Just be amazed.
Well I've already made a whole post about Justin Bieber but man, the kid's got some staying power. He's in the news the other day when he made one badass revenge move. Apparently some kid hacked into one of Justin Bieber's friend's twitter account to get the Biebs' phone number. In an act of pure revenge awesomeness and doucebaggery, Biebs then posted the cellphone number of the hacker claiming it was his.
Well, what happened next? Bieber's got like 4 million, MILLION, Twitter followers. The kid's phone got effed up so hard that he had to discard it along with his twitter account. The kid's parent is expecting a bill in the areas of $2,000 - $10-fucking-thousand dollars. Like a small house here in the Philippines!
But no, this post doesn't end here. JB kinda follows it up with some more awesomeness and this time, it's his music! Yeah read on to find out!

Is this considered bad?
This one's pretty old, and I mean seriously OLD... but it still amazes me. There has been, for some time now (like years ago pa yata ito), an internet meme that involves Jesus and.... DINOSAURS! Here let me show you the image that I saw that got me to write about it:
Woah! Look at Jesus! Look at his ride! Could you make it any awesome-er? See more images (THERE ARE LOTS MORE!) after the cut.

Just wanted to share this awesomeness.
Whenever I have some spare time, I mostly dedicate it to trolling looking for interesting news and websites and whatever in the interwebs. But sometimes, I'd like some time off and read some literature. Stuff that I've found from somewhere across the web. Right now, that particular read is a comic series called "The Walking Dead".

| Comics + Zombies = BRAAAAINS |
It's a great comic series that in a way, analyzes how humans will react to a zombie outbreak. It has the usual stuff from zombie movies (but minus the mall setting... so far) but with far more depth and characterization, well since it's a comic book, so issues are spent on character development. Buuuut, this post isn't really about the comic. No, no, no. It's about something that has the potential to be more awesome (well, for me, I'm thrilled!) SEE IT AFTER THE JUMP! HAHA!

Be afraid people! Be very afraid!
So during the last movie I've watched (Inception) in a theater, a particular trailer caught my attention... Well everyone's attention for that matter. It's super good you will not believe you're actually seeing it (even if it's just the trailer I'm talking about here). Ladies and gentlemen, please see: PIRANHA 3D.
OOOOOHHHH. They placed this before Inception to maybe, I don't know, show contrast?
Anyway this trailer got me thinking, is there any way anyone could top what they have there? I mean look at them, PIRANHAS... IN THE SEA! All they really need is Samuel Jackson and the movie's complete!
But lo and behold. I came across something far more awesome-er. And it's far more insane!
See what it is after the jump.
